
Extra virgin olive oil
Our history
On a suggestive hillock between Siena and Florence, our farm is located among the splendid hills of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa. It’s here that Carlo and Donatella decided to move their home in 1984, buying and restoring the farmhouse that still houses our large and cheerful family. With an eye at the landscape and one at tradition, we grow organic and happy olives, which we press to produce extra virgin olive oil, using the most modern extraction technology.
Our oil
The one produced by our family is a high quality extra virgin olive oil: organic, cold pressed and filtered. Produced in our oil mill as a blend or monovarietal with olives picked at the right degree of ripeness in our olive groves.
Oil mill
The Maggi oil mill, located halfway between Florence and Siena, produces high quality extra virgin olive oil. It welcomes companies and growers, whose olive groves are located in the Tavarnelle val di Pesa area and in the neighboring municipalities, which constitute a varied and qualitatively rich catchment area. The olive harvest takes place at the right degree of ripeness and the pressing in the shortest possible time.
Experiences
Tasting extravirgin olive oil can be a mystical experience, especially if accompanied by a visit to our farm and the surrounding olive groves. Our family is happy to welcome tourists, travelers and lovers of goodness and beauty all year round for a tasting of our extra virgin olive oil and flavored oils. Caressing the Chianti olives is a highly recommended activity.
